This practice area is one of McLarty Wolf’s primary focuses. We have extensive experience in product liability, disability, property, construction and bodily injury claims. As well we have acted as coverage counsel on many occasions and can provide knowledgeable advise as to coverage under a broad range of insurance policies.

Ross McLarty has practiced in this area for over 20 years and practiced for several years as in-house legal counsel for Canadian Indemnity which acquainted him with a multitude of claims and coverage issues including U.S. exposures. Michael Frey and Murray Wolf also practice in the area and have considerable experience in the defence of claims and associated insurance issues relating to the duty to defend and policy coverage.

We act for a number of general insurers’ in the defence of a wide variety of claims and are regularly relied upon to provide expert advise relative to insurance issues. We conduct litigation efficiently having the benefit of the latest technological tools including Summation and CaseMap to assist in our case preparation, reporting and file and document management. This enables us to handle cases more effectively and reduce costs significantly.

Due to our extensive experience in the area, we have contacts with a broad range of experts and consultants including engineers, labour economists, medical specialists and forensic accountants to enable us to assemble the expert evidence upon which the success of many cases depends. 

We have the facility to meet each clients individual reporting and billing requirements and commonly provide litigation budgets and assessments.
