Ross
was born in Princeton, New Jersey on June 12, 1952.
He attended the University of Wisconsin where he obtained
his Bachelor of Arts degree (Economics) in 1973. In
1977, he received his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law
School in Toronto, Ontario. Ross was called to the bar
in British Columbia in 1978 and has practiced litigation
exclusively since then.
He
has practiced civil litigation for over 20 years and
accumulated considerable experience in insurance, commercial
and tort litigation. He takes considerable interest
in continuing legal education and has coordinated CLE
courses as well as having delivered papers at a number
of courses on litigation and insurance issues.
Ross
serves on the Boards of Kenneth Gordon School and the
Society for Excellence in Education. He is also a member
of the Law Society of British Columbia Bencher's subcommittee
on Technology. He is the father of four children and
has interests in education, music, coaching, motorcycles
and aviation.
CAREER
DEVELOPMENT
Ross was a Partner at Macaulay McColl for over 10 years
prior to starting his own practice with Murray Wolf.
Early in his career he gained experience in a broad
range of insurance, commercial, municipal and criminal
litigation cases. Recent career developments include
developing an expertise in mediations, cost recovery
actions under the Waste Management Act and utilizing
technological tools to more effectively and efficiently
conduct civil litigation. His current areas of practice
concentration are Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law,
Negligence, Personal Injury and Waste Management Act
Litigation.
